Dumbo

I ain't never seen
An elephant fly
I ain't never seen
A peacock fly
But I have seen
A black man touch the sky

Since before Cinderella
And the blasphemous imagery
Of a snow white Jesus
The white children of the world
Have been living the dream

Didn't, and still doesn't matter
Their station in life
Their lucky winning ticket
Being born white

While the rest
Of the human race
Lived, and continue to live in hope
Of a rainy day

A day for laughter
A day for peace
A day for love
A day when anything is possible
A day when all dreams come true

Today!
A black superman breaks
The white barrier

This should mean somewhere out there
There's an elephant
There's a peacock
That can fly
But I'd hate you to think
I'm Dumbo
