Only in hell does prey
Seek forgiveness
Plead for mercy
Drop to their knees
In hope of salvation
For better, for worse
For richer, for poorer
In sickness and in health
Till death do us part
From this madness
That they will one day
See the light
And be granted sanctuary
In the once forbidden paradise
A dream honeymoon
Out of darkness
If things in hell
Were only that simple

Dumbo
I ain't never seen
An elephant fly
I ain't never seen
A peacock fly
But I have seen
A black man touch the sky
Since before Cinderella
And the blasphemous imagery
Of a snow white Jesus
The white children of the world
Have been living the dream
Didn't, and still doesn't matter
Their station in life
Their lucky winning ticket
Being born white
While the rest
Of the human race
Lived, and continue to live in hope
Of a rainy day
A day for laughter
A day for peace
A day for love
A day when anything is possible
A day when all dreams come true
Today!
A black superman breaks
The white barrier
This should mean somewhere out there
There's an elephant
There's a peacock
That can fly
But I'd hate you to think
I'm Dumbo
An elephant fly
I ain't never seen
A peacock fly
But I have seen
A black man touch the sky
Since before Cinderella
And the blasphemous imagery
Of a snow white Jesus

Animal
Why are you here?
What are you hoping to find?
You couldn't possibly understand
Thinking your living
A seperate life to me
Thinking the world you inhabit
Doesn't have monsters in it
By definition mammals like me
Are an integral part
Of your normality
You may think me pyschotic
But that's only because I don't fit
Into your idea of what's ordinary
What you call insanity
Is normality
You're the psycho
For not understanding why you're here
You can't imagine
Let alone fathom how another human being
Could commit such unspeakable acts
There are no answers here
Unless you're a mammal
Just like me
What are you hoping to find?
You couldn't possibly understand
Thinking your living
A seperate life to me
Thinking the world you inhabit
Doesn't have monsters in it
By definition mammals like me
Are an integral part
Of your normality
You may think me pyschotic
But that's only because I don't fit
Into your idea of what's ordinary

Lost Four Words
The first sign of trouble
You fled the scene
You didn't even wait to see
My broken heart hit the floor
Arterial spray on the walls
Would suggest this was a crime
Of passion
If I didn't know you better
years later you returned
Only to say
Sorry, you got too close
When you could of saved me by saying
We need to talk
These four words spoken any other day
Would cryogenically freeze the hearts of men
But at least they feel something
Before shutting down
You fled the scene
You didn't even wait to see
My broken heart hit the floor
Arterial spray on the walls
Would suggest this was a crime
Of passion
If I didn't know you better
years later you returned
Only to say
Sorry, you got too close

The Octagon Underground
There underground
Is a terror
You should leave well alone
Curiosity leads the way
Only those with the sense of sight
Follow blind in the dark
Reaching out in all directions
With heightened senses
The walls crumble
The ground slips and falls
Under the weight of every breath
Natures way of saying
Get out while you still can
Ignorance is bliss
Until you collide like a meteor
Into a moving wall
That's closing fast
Like a fly caught in a web
Running out of time and space
Franticly searching for a way out
To find yourself a candle
Burnt at both ends
Is a terror
You should leave well alone
Curiosity leads the way
Only those with the sense of sight
Follow blind in the dark
Reaching out in all directions
With heightened senses
The walls crumble
The ground slips and falls
Under the weight of every breath

Komodo Dragons
Waiting
Still waiting
For a fucking miracle
For some non-entity
To wave its almighty hand
Answering our prayers
Washing away our sins
Unlike the virgin Mary
Married to an impotent fucker
Adapting to her situation
Like a komodo dragon
Isolated on an Indonesian Island
Fertilising her eggs
With no men around
The women aren't complaining
They're keeping the species going
Sending a clear message
To the lord above
We're not waiting anymore
Still waiting
For a fucking miracle
For some non-entity
To wave its almighty hand
Answering our prayers
Washing away our sins
Unlike the virgin Mary
Married to an impotent fucker
Adapting to her situation
Like a komodo dragon
Isolated on an Indonesian Island
Fertilising her eggs
With no men around

Sending a clear message

Concrete
As a child we thought literally
No room for concepts
And generalisations
Asking simple questions of our peers
And getting back more often than not
Straight-forward concrete anwers
Easily obsorbed
Into our software
The foundations
Of our uncivilised society
Do you know the meaning of civil?
Information overload
Our softwares now hardware
Like concrete
Evolving into a desperate state of affairs
We're not thinking straight
Lapping up the toxic waste of our elected peers
Like thirsty dogs licking water from a bowl
Which flows uninterrupted by their good grace
Not easily obsorbed
Into our hardware
Proof, that a mainframe
Is a terrible waste
No room for concepts
And generalisations
Asking simple questions of our peers
And getting back more often than not
Straight-forward concrete anwers
Easily obsorbed

Do you know the meaning of civil?

Before the Storm
Before the storm
People were pleasant
In a blissful state
Neighbour greeted neighbour
Like they'd known eachother
All their lives
Like they knew something was coming
But didn't know how to say goodbye
Before the storm
All was well
The air was fresh, and clear
Filled with the beautiful rythms
Of our feathered friends
The cool breeze
Striking all the right chords
On Mother Natures chriping choir
Before the storm
The roads were blocked
With everybody leaving town
For no visible reason
Their horns honking
Kids in the backseat
Playing with their toys, and laughing
While the parents try
And fail to hide their worries
Before the storm
All was quiet
After, still
People were pleasant
In a blissful state
Neighbour greeted neighbour
Like they'd known eachother
All their lives
Like they knew something was coming
But didn't know how to say goodbye
Before the storm
All was well
The air was fresh, and clear

In The Country
It's always bothered me
Why is there a cunt
In the country?
Why is such an offensive word to women
Disguised as a count
Yet pronounced cunt
In the country?
Is it to symbolise the fact
We came out of a hole
Only to land
In the country
Or, is it simply a reference
For how much we love fucking eachother
Everyday of our lives
In the country
Whatever the reason maybe
There's a cunt
In the country
Why is there a cunt
In the country?
Why is such an offensive word to women
Disguised as a count
Yet pronounced cunt
In the country?
Is it to symbolise the fact
We came out of a hole
Only to land
In the country
Or, is it simply a reference
For how much we love fucking eachother
Everyday of our lives

A River Runs Through It
Walking through the woods
Where a river runs through it
But its not as important
As the river that runs through us
I've no idea who or, what's
The source of the river
That flows through our veins
I just know
We wouldn't be here
If not for their love of procreation
Giving birth to more heads
With mouths Connecting us
To the seven seas
Where a river runs through it
But its not as important
As the river that runs through us
I've no idea who or, what's
The source of the river
That flows through our veins
I just know
We wouldn't be here
If not for their love of procreation
Giving birth to more heads
With mouths Connecting us
To the seven seas
