Medical care today is a joke
You're better off sick in bed
Than going to hospital for care
At home your surrounded
By people that care for your needs
When you are debilitated
Not a white coat
Hiding behind a hippocratic oath
The promise of warmth
Sympathy and understanding
To treat the person
Before the disease
They promise to prevent
Isn't any profit in a cure
How else are the white coats
Going to pay their education fees
Once upon a time
Their education would have been free
Part of the oath Hippocrates inspired
Passing on his knowledge
To those who desired to learn the arts
Keeping the sick from harm and injustice
Today's Hippocrates
Are but greed obsessed immitations
Who see themselves as major players
In today's society
Sound of body and mind
Caring for the infirm
If the price is right
The American way of life
