The Boxed Inn

To wake
To breathe
To see the light
Greet each new day

Free to explore
The great outdoors
When you wish
To be put in a box
Against your wishes

The restraints
We put upon each other
To live
With the pressures of another

When you think
You're thinking outside
You're caught
In another box

Can't do anything
Or go anywhere
Without a label

You must have
A name
A place of birth
An occupation

Even without these things
John or Jane Doe
They will tag you

No, I much rather
The box
I have made

All are welcome
As it says
At the entrance
To my home

Just leave your labels
Outside the open door.
