God's Atrocity

God rests with the world in his hand
Do you feel the almighty power
Coursing through the land?

Are you so detached from your father
You cannot feel when he is near?

God watches and listens intently
At the atrocities carried out in his name

God appears to his earthbound children and decrees
He will give you a year to change your ways
To stop carrying out atrocities in his name

A year goes by pretty quick
Man hasn't changed one little bit
Atrocity after atrocity he is named

God is furious with his children's lack of shame
How can you embrace what you fear?
With the closing of his hand
You, his children disappear
